Urban mobility is changing rapidly. How can public transport operators still plan and adapt to changes? Our answer: Local Data.

Mobility data and specifically up-to-date passenger numbers capture changes in passenger behavior and facilitate demand-driven service. And this is where DILAX comes in: we do not only collect precise data but also turn them into valuable insights that address the challenges of tomorrow.

Automatic Passenger Counting (APC)

Accurate, reliable and decisive

So you know exactly what you are doing
The number of passengers is the most important KPI for mobility providers. It supports you in the evaluation of your network and services and enables PTAs to react quickly to current traffic situations and strategically develop future services.

Since 1988 DILAX develops and implements world class hardware to collect local data in public transport. DILAX sensors count reliably with an accuracy of up to 99% all people boarding and alighting as well as strollers, bicycles and luggage – pretty much everything passengers bring along with them. Our industry-specific analytic software helps our customers to make informed decisions on how to ideally plan mobility concepts.

DILAX SLS-1000

Sensing with care

Our newest sensor, the DILAX SLS-1000, is a 3D optical sensor that uses structured light to count passengers with an accuracy of 99% – even under difficult lighting conditions such as extreme darkness or overexposure. It is able to detect more than other sensors. Due to the high pixel count in a given space, the sensor can identify objects such as bicycles and wheelchairs and count them in real time with a high level of accuracy. Learn more
