LINUX System Administrator (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities

Diverse & exciting

  • Automating and optimizing our IT processes with virtualization, containerization and orchestration tools
  • Supporting and further developing DILAX's own customer hosting solution
  • Acting as a link between software development and our infrastructure team
  • Installing, configuring and managing Linux server environments
  • Developing interfaces between the different tools used at DILAX
  • Ensuring operations of the systems responsible for as well as troubleshooting
  • Cooperating in planning and implementing new infrastructure projects
  • Supporting our employees with IT questions (e.g. Jira and Confluence) including occasional on-call service

Good qualities

that you bring along

  • University degree in computer sciences or a comparable professional training, e.g. as an IT specialist for system integration, IT specialist for application development or IT system electronics technician
  • Several years of professional experience in the IT field
  • Experiences in setting up and administering Kubernetes clusters
  • In-depth knowledge of the operating system in the Linux environment and preferably also basic knowledge in the Windows environment
  • Good knowledge in the field of configuration management (ideally Puppet)
  • Good knowledge of a script language such as Bash, Powershell, Python, etc.
  • Experience with REST clients
  • Basic knowledge in the administration of SQL data bases such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB and MSSQL
  • Strong communication skills in German and English
  • Nice to have: experiences with Git, Amazon Cloud Services, Jira as well as continuous integration and continuous delivery (Jenkins, Gitlab-CI etc.)
