Which of your data do we process? And for what purposes?

We process the data that you have sent us in connection with your application in order to assess your
eligibility for the position (or other open positions at our companies, if applicable) and to carry out the application process.

What is the legal basis for this?

The legal basis for processing your personal data in this application procedure is primarily §26 of the
German Federal Data Protection Law (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG) in the version applicable as of May 25, 2018. According to this law, processing the data required for making a decision about the establishment of an employment relationship is allowed. Should this data be needed for the purpose of legal prosecution after the completion of the application process, data processing may take place on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 of the GDPR, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. (f) of the GDPR. Our interest then consists of the assertion of our defense
against claims.

How long is the data stored?

Applicants’ data will be deleted after 6 months in the event of an unsuccessful application. If you have agreed to the further storage of your personal data, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. The data will be deleted from this pool after two years. Should you be chosen for a position during the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our HR information system.

Which recipients is the data passed on to?

After receipt of your application, your application data will be reviewed by the HR department. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department managers of the respective open position. Further proceedings will then be coordinated. In general, only the people in company who need access to your data for properly conducting the application process will have access to your data.

Where is the data processed?

The data is processed exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany.
