Development Engineer Embedded Systems (m/w/d)

Your responsibilities

Diverse & exciting

  • Designing high-speed FPGA circuits for image processing
  • Designing firmware for optical 3D sensor modules consisting of optical transmitter and CMOS camera receiver
  • Developing algorithms for detecting moving objects
  • Further developing and maintaining the Linux based operating system (Yocto)
  • Contributing to the entire development process up to the production stage
  • Preparing documentations such as functional specifications and test plans as well as supporting the technical documentation
  • Cooperating with hardware development, quality assurance, product management and with suppliers
  • Cooperating in national and international customer projects

Good qualities

that you bring along

  • University degree in electronics, computer sciences or comparable engineering sciences
  • Skills in developing FPGA including testbenches with SystemC / VHDL / Verilog
  • A high level of expertise and experience in the field of software development for embedded Linux systems in C/C++
  • Experience in image processing using common libraries like OpenCV
  • Experience in modeling using high-level languages such as MatLab, Octave, Python
  • Independent, self-reliant and project-oriented way of working as well as self-confident manners
  • Very good knowledge of German, written and oral English skills. A further language is a plus
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for several days in Germany and abroad
